Greetings from the Food Works Winter Farmers Market (WFM)! We appreciate your interest in our winter marketplace. All vendors wishing to sell at the WFM must apply and be approved to participate as a vendor. The WFM is a producer-only market—vendors must grow it, make it, or bake (cook) it to sell at the market.
Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee you a space at the market. All vendor applications are reviewed and carefully considered. After review of the first round of applications, applicants will be notified by phone or email as to the status of their application on or before October 1st. All accepted vendors are required to provide a short bio about their farm and photos (digital submission preferred) or a short video showcasing unique elements of their farm. Please note the required supplemental documents for each vendor type and review the checklist at the end of the application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Markets are Saturdays from 9am–12pm, December through March. PLEASE NOTE: The market is located inside the Carbondale Community High School Cafeteria (1301 E Walnut St, Carbondale, IL 62901). This is the SAME LOCATION as last year’s winter market. New and returning vendors should plan to attend at this location.
Set up for the market begins at 7:45am and take down must be completed by 1pm. No sales are allowed prior to the official start of the market. Vendors are not allowed to leave the market early unless previously approved by the market manager. Please read over our rules and regulations.
A few things to note: It is each vendor’s responsibility to understand, report, and submit any applicable sales taxes or other taxes related to products sold at the market. WFM does not collect or remit sales tax on behalf of vendors. Vendors are expected to comply with all relevant tax laws and guidelines. Additionally, all vendors must provide proof of liability insurance prior to vending at the market, as required by our facilities-use agreement. Please contact us with any questions or concerns about tax or insurance requirements.
Thanks again for your interest in the Food Works Winter Farmers Market—we look forward to receiving your application. Applications received by September 1, 2026 will be included in the first round of vendor selection and notified of acceptance by October 1, 2026. Applications will continue to be accepted after this date and will be reviewed in the order in which they are received. If you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Rules & Regulations: Please review the 2026-2027 Winter Farmers Market Rules and Regulations before applying.
Please note this winter market and the outdoor market at Murdale are two different markets and are run by two different organizations. If you are looking to become a vendor at the OUTDOOR market, please reach out to: indigo@fwsoil.org
