About

The Food Works Winter Farmers Market is an indoor farmers market located inside the Carbondale Community High School Cafeteria 1301 E Walnut St, Carbondale, IL. (new location 2026-2027 season!)
It runs every Saturday from December 5th through March 20th from 9am to 12pm. (There will not be a market on Dec 26th)

The winter market is a staple in the Carbondale community, as it gives our customers access to fresh produce, locally sourced meat, dairy, eggs, and other handcrafted items when the outdoor markets close for the season. We serve communities of all income levels and we accept cash, cards, and SNAP.

The Winter Farmers Market is NOT affiliated with the summer Carbondale Farmers Market. The outdoor Carbondale Farmers Market season runs from April-November on Saturdays from 8am-12pm at the Murdale Shopping Center in Carbondale, IL.

Events

The Food Works Winter Market offers something for everyone! In addition to a diverse market with over 40 vendors, join us for weekly Kids Club activities, cooking demos featuring products from our local vendors, live music, and other fun events to look forward to, like the annual seed swap and plant giveaway!
