About
The Food Works Winter Farmers Market is an indoor farmers market located inside the Carbondale Community High School Cafeteria (new location 2025-2026 season!)
It runs every Saturday from December through March from 9am to 12pm.
The winter market is a staple in the Carbondale community, as it gives our customers access to fresh produce, locally sourced meat, dairy, eggs, and other handcrafted items when the outdoor markets close for the season. We serve communities of all income levels and we accept cash, cards, and SNAP.
Food Works Pay-It-Foward Program
Let’s support our food-insecure community members this season! Donate today through our Food Works Pay It Forward Program—your contributions help us purchase goods directly from local farmers and cottage food vendors. We distribute this food through the Good Samaritan Food Pantry in Carbondale, IL. Donate using the link below, or in person every Saturday at the Winter Farmers Market. Every donation counts!

The Winter Farmers Market is NOT affiliated with the summer Carbondale Farmers Market. The outdoor Carbondale Farmers Market season runs from April-November on Saturdays from 8am-12pm at the Murdale Shopping Center in Carbondale, IL.
Events
The Food Works Winter Market offers something for everyone! In addition to a diverse market with over 40 vendors, join us for weekly Kids Club activities, cooking demos featuring products from our local vendors, live music, and other fun events to look forward to, like the annual seed swap and plant giveaway!
