Poultry Processing Workshop @ The Flock Farm, Anna, IL

Join us at the University of Illinois Extension for a practical two-day chicken butchering workshop. Part of the Homesteading Series, this event is perfect for anyone interested in learning safe and effective poultry processing techniques to do at home. Held at The Flock Farm in Anna, IL, and led by farmer and owner Brent Glays, you'll gain hands-on experience with heritage breed chickens, lamb, and hogs in the farm's state-of-the-art processing facility.

Whether you're aiming to become more self-sufficient, enhance homesteading skills, or learn how to sell farm-finished poultry, this workshop has you covered. Topics include poultry processing methods, meat labeling for farm sales, and best practices for packaging and storage.

Designed for beginners, no prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn and get your hands dirty. Enjoy expert instruction, ample time for questions, and a fun, hands-on environment.
